Google has been put in a lot of hotwater here in Australia recently for collecting data from wifi networks around the country while out and about in their street view cars. When I first read about this my initial reaction was that it would be useful information to overlay on a map - maybe filtered by carrier so you can find the nearest area that you can get a connection to your chosen ISP via wifi instead of using up your phone's data cap. That would be useful data!

Drawing with Google Docs

Google Docs has just released a new "Drawing" item that you can use to create flowcharts and diagrams or just doodle with the curvey line tool to draw what you like. I'll even give the Docs Drawing feature a go on an iPad and post some pics as soon as I can.

Geek & Nerd T-Shirts!

People often ask me where I get my shirts, since I'm almost always wearing something aimed at geeks, nerds or gamers to cover my torso. Usually I don't remember because I get them from all over the place, including eBay sometimes, but the best stores can sometimes be hard to find as it's a pretty big market on the internet. So here's a list of my favourites, please leave a comment if you want your store listed and I'll check it out first (no cafepress / spreadshirt shops please, just propper stores). If I like it, I'll add it to the list and probably buy something at the same time

Trying some new themes

I'm busy with my business at the moment, but I thought it was about time I spruced up the site.

New wordpress makes it so easy... I think it took 10 minutes for me to find a theme and install it, didn't even have to touch any files directly or do anything via ftp!
